Dealer pricing & schemes
Show each dealer the price and scheme that applies to them.

None running this month
A newer account on the standard price, with no scheme running for them this month. That is an ordinary situation, not a gap.
The price is one answer. The scheme is a different one.
Price and scheme answer two different questions.
- Price
- What price applies to this dealer?
- A standing answer. It is true today and it was true last week.
- Scheme
- Is there a temporary programme that may add a benefit?
- A conditional answer, usually for a period, usually on some products.
A dealer should be able to understand both without them being mixed into one unexplained final number.
What can affect dealer pricing?
- Dealer or account price
- Agreed with this dealer specifically.
- Price group
- Where several dealers are priced the same way.
- Contract or commercial agreement
- For a defined period.
- Product-specific price
- Where one item is treated differently.
- Manual exception
- Somebody decided, and said so.
Which pricing methods exist depends on how the business already sells. A price group is a convenience for pricing several accounts alike — it is not a tier, and it puts no dealer above or below another.
Make scheme rules visible before the order.
- Buy selected products
- Reach an order value
- Reach a quantity
- Order within a period
- Another business-defined condition
- Applies to
- Selected products
- Period
- 1–31 Oct
- Progress
- Where the rule supports progress
Not every scheme is threshold-based, and not every scheme has progress to show. A scheme that applies to a product list for a fortnight has no number to count towards — it either applies or it does not.
Show what still remains to qualify.
- Qualify at
- ₹2L
- Ordered so far
- ₹1.48L
- Remaining
- ₹52,000
This example uses value because that is what the pillar demonstrates. Another scheme may count products, quantity or something else your business defines.
Do not make the dealer guess whether a scheme applies.
- AX-40Included
- VX-20Included
- BR-12Not included
- Scheme period
- Active
- Account
- Eligible
All of this should be clear before the dealer places the order, not after somebody checks the invoice.
What happens when the order is created?
- Dealer price
- Applicable scheme context
- Order draft
- The normal order checks
Qualifying for a scheme does not skip anything. The order still gets the same price, stock, credit and approval checks as every other order.
See Order ManagementDealer pricing is not generic customer pricing.
Customer-specific pricing
- Account or contract price
- Which source applies to an order
- Used broadly, for any customer
Dealer pricing & schemes — this page
- The dealer’s commercial context
- Dealer programmes and schemes
- Qualification and what remains
- Target context where it is used
The mechanism that decides which price applies is the same one either way. What a dealer has on top is a programme — something running this month that changes what the next order is worth to them.
Customer-specific PricingWhere the price and the scheme are seen.
- Dealer PortalThe screen where the dealer reads all of this for themselves.
- Dealer OnboardingWhere a new account’s price arrangement gets agreed in the first place.
- Dealer Credit ControlThe other account condition that decides whether an order proceeds.
- Customer-specific PricingThe generic price-source mechanism this sits on top of.
